ASPEN PITKIN COUNTY AIRPORT (ASE) The Roaring Fork Transportation Authority (RFTA) operates buses that serve the Aspen airport. The bus stop is in front of the terminal on Hwy 82. The bus going to Aspen is on the airport side of the road. Buses run every half hour from 6:01am to 5:01pm, then every 15 minutes from 5:15pm until 1:10am, then again at 1:31am, 2:01am and 2:45am. If you are going south towards Snowmass, Aspen Village, or Glenwood Springs, the bus stop is on the opposite site of the road from the airport. Buses run every half hour from 6:23am to 4:53pm, then every 15 minutes from 5:08pm until 12:53am, then again at 1:23am, 1:53am, 2:23am and 2:38am. All buses operate seven days a week and are free to ride. All of the Aspen and Snowmass Ski Resorts are accessible by the bus service. Tell the driver where you are going so he can direct you to a transfer point if needed. The bus service is extensive and convenient in this area, so for most trips, a car should not be needed.
