HOUSTON WILLIAM P. HOBBY AIRPORT (HOU) Map Your Route The Houston METRO serves Hobby airport on three routes. Route 101 (Hobby Airport Express) connects the airport with downtown. Buses run every 20 to 60 minutes, daily except Sunday, from 5:40am to 1:00am. For downtown, take the bus named Preston and Smith. The 101 route also serves San Jacinto College South going the other direction. Route 50 begins and ends at the airport and runs about every half hour to downtown. The trip takes about 50 minutes to downtown, and the route continues to north to W. 43rd Street. Route 50 runs from 4:00am to just after midnight, less frequent on weekends. Route 73 also begins and ends at the airport, but goes west along Bellfort to the Texas Medical Center, Uptown Galleria, Six Flags AstroWorld, and Rice University. It operates every 10 to 30 minutes from 5:15am to 10:20pm, less frequent on the weekends. Fares for all routes are $1.00, but an all-day pass can be purchased for $2.00.
