WASHINGTON DULLES INT'L AIRPORT (IAD) Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) offers express bus service between the airport and downtown Washington D.C. Service operates from 5:50am until 11:40pm every 30 to 40 minutes weekdays and up to an hour apart on weekends. Fare is $6.00 cash. The bus is an express bus and stops at the Rosslyn and L'Enfant Plaza Metro Stations where transfers can be made to Metro subway lines and other bus lines. To find the bus stop, go to the baggage claim level and exit at Door 4. Go down the ramp and out to the first island. The bus stop is to the right. Airport bus stop Note that the Washington Flyer is a private company that provides service to the Washington Metro, its fare is $10.00 or $18.00 round trip. It operates every 30 minutes. Loudoun Transit also serves the airport with service to the city of Dulles every 45 to 60 minuted from 7:30am to 6:30pm. Use this service to get to the Dulles Air and Space Museum from 10:45am to 5:30pm daily. The ride takes 15 minutes. This can be done with Go down the ramp to the buses a long layover.
