LONG BEACH AIRPORT (LGB) Long Beach Transit operates Route 111, which connects the Long Beach airport to downtown Long Beach. The bus operates from 5:40am until 1:00am at about 40 minute intervals during the day, up to 90 minute intervals after 8:00pm Monday through Friday, and from 6:15am until 11:08pm on weekends and holidays, at 60 to 90 minute intervals. Be sure to ask the driver which direction the bus is going, as it goes east and west. Fare is 90 cents. More information at www.lbtransit.com or call 562-591-2301. In downtown Long Beach, transfers can be made to Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) bus routes and the Metro Blue Line, for service throughout the Los Angeles area.
