MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (MSP) Map Your Route Metro Transit provides light rail service from both terminals at MSP to downtown and the warehouse district to the north and the Mall of America to the south. Service operates from about 4:00am to 2:00am daily, about every 8 to 15 minutes, depending on time of day (twice an hour during the lowest periods). Fare during rush hour is $2.00, $1.50 all other times. Transfers between terminals are free. It is possible to visit the Mall of America on a long layover, but give yourself ample time get through security and back to the gate. The trip to the Mall only takes 11 minutes. Metro transit also has one bus line that serves the airport. Route 54 goes to downtown St. Paul and the Mall of America. Buses run about every 15-30 minutes weekdays, and every 30 minutes on Sundays from 4:30am until 1:00am. Fare for the bus is also $2.00 during rush hour, $1.50 all other times.
