The South Bend Regional Airport is a true
intermodal center, with air, rail, local bus, and
intercity bus companies serving the airport.
TRANSPO, the region's public bus service,
operates a bus (Route 4) from the airport to
South Street Station in downtown South Bend
weekdays every thirty to sixty minutes
from 5:19am until 9:24pm. On Saturdays,
service starts at 6:28am, then operates hourly
from 6:58am until 5:58pm, no Sunday service.
Fare is $1.00. Transfers are free. The bus can be picked up outside the terminal
near the center or the end of the terminal outside of the rental car counters. The
TRANSPO web site is www.sbtranspo.com, or call 574-233-2131 for information.
